Bob Jacob is a career Accountant and Business Executive with over 42 years of professional experience that includes account analysis, cost accounting, and executive level non-profit leadership. Bob received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Kerala, India (1973), his Master of Economics and Public Administration from the University of Jabalpur, India (1975). He also earned his Bachelor of Law from the University of Jabalpur, India (1977). He also is a Certified Social Worker (CSW) in the State of New Jersey. Bob has worked in corporate, in legal, and in the non-profit setting.
Bob joined Catholic Family & Community Services (CFCS) in October 1985 as a Controller, and was promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer and Associate Executive Director in October 1986. Bob was also the Chief Financial Officer of Secretariat for Social Ministries of the Diocese of Paterson until June 2018. While at CFCS, Bob has overseen the financial operations of the agency throughout its many changes. He has served as the Vice President the Catholic Charities USA C.A.R.E. Committee for 15 years. In November 1994, the Board of Directors of Catholic Family and Community Services recognized him with an award in honor of his outstanding contribution to the agency and the people it serves. He also received the Caritas Award on November 8, 2014. Most Rev. Arthur J. Serratelli, Bishop of Paterson appointed Bob Jacob as the Executive Director of Catholic Family and Community Services on September 17, 2019.
Bob is married to his wife of nearly 40 years, Mary. Together they have three children, Lisa (36), Jonathan (30), and Sarah (24) and two grandchildren, Ava (8) and Andrew (5). Bob is very active in the church ministry and various prayer groups.
