Thank you to Monsignor John Hart, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Tara Speer and the entire Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Family, Morristown for recently donating 150 frozen dinner trays to the Father English Center in Paterson!
The 9-12 year old children in Level III Good Shepherd wrote letters
to all the Assumption Parishioners asking them to prepare a frozen meal and prayer for our brothers and sisters served by Father English Food Pantry.
On April 6th, after collecting the frozen dinners and prayers, they drove to Paterson to deliver them directly to the FECC . In addition to the dinners, they also donated first Communion dresses which were collected by Assumption Parishioners.
The Father English Food Pantry serves approximately 700 families on a monthly basis. Many of our clients are minimum-wage earners who stretch income to cover expenses such as rent, gas and electric and medical bills.
