Legal Services for Immigration

CFCS - Legal Services for Immigration provides legal consultation, assistance, and representation to clients of limited means from all nationalities, ethnicities, and religions in the northern and central New Jersey areas. All persons, including those with legal immigration status and those who are undocumented, are treated respectfully, professionally, and with attorney – client confidentiality.   

Services provided by the department, include a range of family-based petitions to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency, as well representation in Immigration Court or in meetings with officer of Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE), such as:

• Naturalization/Citizenship
• Adjustment of Status (Green Card)
• Removal Hearings before an Immigration Judge
• Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
• Fee Waiver Applications (including recipients of public assistance, e.g., SNAP)
• USCIS Interviews (removal of conditions, adjustment of status, naturalization)
• Asylum (applications and interviews)
• Cancellations of Removal
• Order of Supervision check-ins with ICE
• Special Immigrant Juvenile petitions (including, proceedings in State – Family Court)

Legal Fees for services are charged, but at a reduced rate from prevailing legal representation charges.  Existing or new clients should make an appointment.
