GivingTuesday 2020
Tuesday, December 1st
#GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
Catholic Charities, right here in the Diocese of Paterson helps thousands of people each day.
Our work includes:
3 Food Pantries, spanning 3 counties. We have helped more people than ever before in our 80-year history since the start of COVID-19. We have given out over 1,000,000 pounds of food over the last 7 months, thanks to the support of generous donors.
Emergency assistance for individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Since the start of COVID-19, calls to our emergency assistance programs have gone up tenfold. We have given out over $2,000,000 in emergency support during this time.
Support for individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our Department for Persons with Disabilities has been providing help and creating hope for over 55 years.
Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Services. Straight and Narrow is the largest nonprofit drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in the country.
In addition, we provide support for Veterans, senior citizens, newborns and infants, children of all ages, youth at-risk, families in crisis, immigrants from across the globe, and more! Your support will make a difference in the lives of many!
