Community Emergency Support (CES)-Morris programs consist of HOPWA; Ryan White; Morris County AIDS, Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing II and CES Emergency Assistance.
Housing Opportunities to Person with Aids (HOPWA) offers long term housing subsidies in scattered sites throughout the community to persons affected with HIV/AIDS. The housing subsidy is up to five years with the goal of the client becoming sustainable.
The Ryan White Program at CFCS-Hope House services the HIV/AIDS affected population. The program has three full time case managers which provide case management and medical case management services to clients to provide coordination of care between medical, health, housing, legal, and entitlement providers. Additionally, the program provides door to door transportation service to medical and necessary social service appointments. The program also provides HIV support groups to discuss issues from coping skills and healthy lifestyles.
The Morris County AIDS Center at CFCS-Hope House serves the HIV/AIDS affected population, providing needed support services. Case managers provide two HIV support groups per month one men’s group, one women’s group and one general group, for client concerns such as living with HIV, coping with trauma and asking for help. Additionally, case managers provide one to two coping skills groups per month such as Cooking Light, Art Expressions, Crossfit and Reiki to assist clients with effectively coping with stresses, stigma and discrimination associated with living with HIV/AIDS. The MCAIDS program provides three annual retreats which are each two days and consist of educational workshops focusing on the wellness of mind, body and spirit. The program also provides a Consumer Advocacy program designed to assist clients learn to advocate for themselves and their peers. This program also provides HIV prevention programs to Morris County community providers such as schools, substance abuse treatment providers, homeless housing programs, soup kitchens, Morris coutny Jail and youth shelters. The program also hosts an annual event for World AIDS Day in December.
Community Emergency Support (CES)-Morris offers the homeless prevention program to assist families to prevent potential homelessness or transition from a state of homelessness to Morris County Residents. The program offers clients short term financial assistance individuals and families at imminent risk of homeless with limited or no other resources available; linkage to basic essential services like food and clothing from our Hope House Choice Pantry. The HPRP II program can provide three months of back rent or a security deposit and first month’s rent towards a new apartment. Clients can call the CES Emergency assistance line at 973-361-5555 extension 3038 for a confidential appointment to determine eligibility for this program.
