Thank you to the Catholic Campaign for Human Development ( CCHD is the domestic anti-poverty program of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops - USCCB) for awarding us with a grant to host a Social Justice Art show, featuring student artists from our youth programs!
This program was hosted on June 29th at our Fr. English Food Pantry, with Delia Rosario, the program's Director serving as Master of Ceremonies.
The funding from the CCHD covered supplies which will continue to be used at the programs in the future, educational prizes for our winners, and gift cards for all participants.
This year, the CCHD is celebrating their 50th anniversary. As we face the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and a renewed call for racial justice in our communities, CCHD's community organizations have quickly amplified their efforts to address the social and economic disparities present in our communities. Visit www.povertyusa.org to learn more about their important ministry.
We were proud to celebrate our talented youth as well as 50 years of CCHD!
Congratulations to the winners!
God bless CCHD and the young people we serve!
