Paterson Adult Day Center Makes a Difference

1. Is the ONLY senior social day center in the entire City of Paterson?

2. Is the ONLY free center that will accept seniors that have Medicaid or Medicare in Paterson?

3. Opened in 1976 as the FIRST Adult Center in the City of Paterson, it has been serving seniors from Paterson ever since.

Thanks to our partnership with Governor Paterson Towers, the center has a new location in the lower level at 195 20th Avenue, Paterson, NJ. The center will continue to be FREE, with a warm and caring staff that provides transportation door to door 5 days a week. Delicious food will be given with a fun filled calendar of events, including a bus trip weekly.

The seniors served by this program are all very excited to be at our new location. Change is not easy for anyones. However, when the seniors who we help found out that the center would be moving to Governor Paterson Towers they were so happy that they started to clap. They said that those building are “always lovely and clean.”

Thank you to all of those who support Catholic Charities for making a difference in the lives of the seniors in Paterson as well as the seniors at Governor Paterson Towers. The residents now have an opportunity to attend a center in their own building/complex.

In addition to the center the Senior Activities Program, Catholic Charities has served over 300 unduplicated seniors from the Governor Paterson Towers this past year. This program in partnership with Governor Paterson Towers provides FREE activities to all seniors in all of the buildings, since 2009.
