The Fight for the Right group is the Department for Persons with Disabilities community service group. The name was created by an individual from DPD who is a member of the group and implies fighting for what is right and providing service to those in our local communities, nation and worldwide who are in need.
The group meets monthly to decide upon and perform worthwhile community service projects. The group is overseen by dedicated volunteers Jenn Minervino and Anna Philhower.
2019 was especially fruitful for the group, as they helped thousands of those in need.
"I am EXTREMELY proud of the Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) Fight for the Right Community Service Group for all of their hard work this year. We did so much for those in need, including:
We made the Annual Bunny Brunch centerpieces for the Junior Women's Club of Jefferson Township
Collected business clothing for the Working Women's Wardrobe of Project Self-Sufficiency of Sussex County
We are looking forward to 2020, and touching the lives of so many! My life has been constantly touched by the DPD Family! Love and thank you, all," said Jenn Minervino, Volunteer Fight for the Right Coordinator.
Enjoy some photos from the past year! We would like to thank the entire community for their continued support of this important and special group!
