Congratulations to Jefferson Township High School Class of 2020 graduates Kailyn Kerr and Lea Mazzacano for receiving the annual Catholic Charities, Department for Persons with Disabilities scholarship!
These scholarships are awarded to two graduating seniors who have shown kindness to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and who also plan to continue their service to individuals with disabilities in the future.
Kailyn was a member of the JTHS Unified Track team and competed alongside athletes of all abilities. She will be attending TCNJ in the Fall and is anxious to continue volunteering with Special Olympics.
Lea Mazzacano spent the last several years volunteering at DPD's Saturdays at the Center (SATC) program for individuals with disabilities. She has been a great addition to the program and all the participants will miss her. She will be attending Moravian College in the Fall and plans to come back and visit the SATC program whenever she can.
Throughout DPD's history, Jefferson Township High School students have been friends and supporters to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and for this we are appreciative!
We wish both of these exemplary students all the best in their future endeavors!
