The FSC is a one-stop community center providing services to individuals and families of Paterson and surrounding communities.
The FSC is a primary and secondary prevention program whose goal is to strengthen families and promote economic self-sufficiency. It is a multi-agency partnership that provides various services and referrals to individuals and their families.
Services Include: Information and linkages to various resources (housing, maternal health, medical care, etc), Economic self-sufficiency / employment related services, Parent Education and Support, Life Skills training (budgeting, nutrition, etc.), Parent-Child Activities, Development of "Family Success" plans and Advocacy, among other.
Services provided are at no cost and are available to all individuals and their families, not just those that have been identified as at-risk. Family Success Centers are designed to create partnerships between families, leaders, and community agencies.
Prevention Programs
The SN Prevention Program serves Passaic County residents who are in need of parenting classes. The primary goal is to prevent child abuse and neglect. Additionally, classes help parents and caregivers build the necessary skills to better support children’s success in school, social relations, gain more insight into parenting, discipline and trust. Classes are offered in English and Spanish.
