- Catholic Family & Community Services is a multi-social service agency that served over 30,000 unduplicated people in 2016.
- In one food pantry alone there were over 50,000 visits, and over a million pounds of food were distributed. The fact that many clients made multiple visits to the food pantry speaks to the depth of need in the Paterson community.
- We address food insecurity throughout the community, served over 7,000 clients by delivering meals to students in early learning programs and through our Meals on Wheels program, serving rural Sussex County. Over 70,000 meals were delivered to homebound and needy seniors in 2016.
- More than 5,000 children with identified or suspected developmental delays were assessed and treated to address those delays.
- Over 1,200 clients received emergency assistance to prevent eviction or assist them in securing new housing
- Through CFCS, more than 800 students attended early learning and after school programs and nearly 400 teens received interventions to help reduce their risk for involvement in gangs, substance use, drop-out from high school and other concerns.
- We served over 400 veterans with case management or homeless intervention/rehousing services.
- Over 250 clients received legal advice and support on immigration matters
- Migrant Ministry operates primarily in rural Sussex County, but also meets people where they work and live in Morris and Passaic Counties. Our small staff and volunteers serve the Migrant Community with supports and direct services.
- Approximately 5,000 people are served.
- Masses and Sacraments are provided at three regional parishes throughout the year.
- DPD, the Department for Persons with Disabilities, provides support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Morris, Sussex and Passaic County. DPD is the only provider agency for adults with disabilities in the state of New Jersey internationally that is accredited by the Council on Accreditation, (COA). We operates the longest running group home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the state of New Jersey, Murray House in Clifton.
- DPD is the only Catholic Agency providing care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in New Jersey and one of the largest in the United States.
- In 2016, DPD provided nearly 28,000 days of care for people with disabilities. We operate 10 group homes and 2 supervised apartment programs throughout Morris, Sussex, and Passaic Counties serving 78 individuals.
- Gruenert Center is a vocational day program for 58 men and women in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. In 2014, we developed the “Special Needs” sub-program within Gruenert Center for adults with autism and those who are in need of one-to-one care.
- We offers Support Coordination/Case Management for 51 residents and families of Sussex County. We help participants to find needed resources and services to help them live productive and fulfilling lives.
- We provide Pastoral Care and spiritual enrichment programs including a parish based Catholic Adult Religious Education, (C.A.R.E) program, and Bible Study and prayer groups. Individuals are encouraged to be involved in their faith communities, regardless of their religious background as well as providing pastoral care for former DPD residents who now reside in nursing homes. We never forget about someone who was once part of the DPD Family.
- We hosts “Saturdays at the Center”, (SATC). SATC is designed specifically for young adults (18-40) with intellectual and developmental disabilities who reside in the community. SATC offers weekend socialization, recreational activities, community trips, educational opportunities, information about group home living, like skills training and more.
- Has a dedicated network of over 100 "People Need Friends" volunteers, including individual "friends", youth volunteers, Pet Therapy Volunteers and more.
- Straight and Narrow, Inc., is one of the largest providers of addiction services in the State of New Jersey.
- We treated 2,691 clients at our Intoxicated Resource Center (IDRC). The center provides assessment and educations for individuals convicted of driving under the influence.
- The Detoxification Hospital Unit treated 739 people. The program has seen a steady increase in clients with an opiate addiction during the year.
- Our men’s halfway house admitted 161 men into the 50 bed facility since it opened in July of 2016.
- The long-term residential drug program for men has seen an increase of 100 admissions and an increase of 10 percent of successful treatment completions.
- Our kitchen supplies over 1,600 meals a day for our two Children’s Day Care Centers, the Adult Medical Day Care Center plus our residential treatment programs.
- The Outpatient drug free and medical assist treatment programs provided over 62,000 outpatient visits.
